11,000 cruise visitors expected

Between this month and January 2027, about 20 cruise ship calls are expected in Walvis Bay and Lüderitz. About 2/3 of it will call Namibia’s largest port just south of Swakopmund in Walvis Bay. While the Nautica visited the town last week already, about 50 per cent of all cruise ships expected in Namibian ports will come in November.

Namibia gained in the last years more and more importance as a cruise destination. The ships normally allow passengers to disembark on a day or two while in the port.
