Easier visa handling for cruise ship passengers

The Namibia Tourism Board (NTB) engaged with stakeholders to expedite the processing of eVisa and Visa-on-Arrival (VoA) for incoming cruise ship passengers. In the past, the issuing of the necessary visas took too long, so that many passengers did not, or only for a short time, visited Namibia. The NTB will in future work even closer with the Ministry of Home Affairs, Immigration, Safety and Security (MHAISS) and the Ministry of Environment, Forestry and Tourism (MEFT) in order to enhance the experience of cruise ship passengers. This might even include the issuing of a blank visa upfront to a specific number of cruise ship passengers, rather than individually checking their VOA eligibility.
