More flights, more flexibility: Lufthansa Group increases Namibia to Europe connectivity!

The Lufthansa Group announced the increase of its direct flights between Zurich in Switzerland and Windhoek from 2 to 3 per week. This announcement comes even before they touched down in Windhoek for the first time. The maiden flight between the two cities is planned for 1 June 2026. As of 15 July, a 3rd weekly flight, on Wednesday, will be added to the schedule. Edelweiss Air will use a modern Airbus A350-900 on the route. The route will be the third one of the Lufthansa Group between Europe and Namibia; Discover Airlines* flies 7 times per week between Frankfurt and Windhoek and three times per week between Munich and the Namibian capital.
