Namibia Air will initially fly with 7 aircraft

The new public airline, Namibia Air has applied for the necessary licenses to fly nationally, regionally and internationally. Initially, Namibia Air plans with seven aircrafts, namely four Embraer 145, similar to those privately-owned FlyNamibia* is using, and three larger Embraer 170/175. In Year 1 of operation, Namibia Air plans 160 weekly flights, increasing to 210 in Year 4.

It is still planned that Namibia Air will start its scheduled flights this year. The feasibility study was finalized months ago but not made public. Namibia Air will be the first government-owned airline since Air Namibia went into bankruptcy during COVID-19 times.
