4 most unserved flight routes ex WDH

Aircraft company Embraer annually publishes its report of the most unserved flight routes in Africa. In the 2026 edition, Namibia is four times mentioned in an overall of 55 analyzed routes. All these unserviced routes could be from and to Hosea Kutako International Airport east of Windhoek.

On rank 27 of the most unserved routes is Windhoek to Harare. According to Embracer’s analysis, fourt weekly flights with a regional jet between the Zimbabwean capital and Windhoek would be viable. A connection to Nairobi in Kenya would allow 3–4 weekly flights, while Lusaka could be a flight destination for the same number of flights. The route has been serviced since this year by Proflight Zambia, but via Livingstone and thus not considered as a direct destination, according to Embraer. Durban, with three weekly flights, is another viable destination from Windhoek.
